NOMINATE STRONG SLATE OF COUNTY CANDIDATES
The Rutherford County Democratic Party selected strong, experienced candidates Saturday as its nominees for 4 County offices. Sheriff Truman Jones, Register of Deeds Jennifer Gerhart, Circuit Court Clerk Eloise Gaither, and County Clerk candidate Lisa Harrell all won their respective nomination with overwhelming support. All four share a common background of experience in their respective offices and a history of excellent leadership. They will campaign together, they will lead together, and we will proudly work hard to elect them.
As Lisa Harrell stated in her excellent speech before the Executive Committee, we Rutherford County Democrats should also be proud of the fact that only our party has put forward such strong and capable women as candidates, and worked hard to elect them as leaders in our community. “Our Party has blazed new trails for women in our County such as Nancy Allen, Georgia Lynch, Eloise Gaither, and Jennifer Gerhart,” she said.
The Democratic Party of Rutherford County continues its legacy of experience and equality with the nomination of these four candidates. Now it is vital that we move forward and work hard to elect them to lead our County.
It was a chilly day of campaigning in Rutherford County on Saturday. 
Ms. Lisa Harrell is proud to announce her candidacy for the office of Clerk of Rutherford County. She is a Democrat. A lifelong resident of Rutherford County, Ms. Harrell grew up in Murfreesboro and now resides in the Christiana community. Her husband James works in the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Department, and they attend Mount Carmel Baptist Church together. Her interests include gardening and tending to the many animals she has rescued over the years.
